Are BASIK O-ring syringes safe to use?
Yes, our syringes are DEHP, BPA, and latex-free, making them a healthier choice for users. Silicone is an inert material that will not interact with the contents of the syringe. Most syringes are individually packed and sterilized for that extra step of perfection.
How do I clean and maintain my syringes?
Our syringes are dishwasher-safe, making cleaning easier. For optimal maintenance, disassemble the syringe and wash it with warm, soapy water or place it in the dishwasher. Ensure that all components are thoroughly dried before reassembly.
Do your syringes come with any accessories?
Yes, each syringe comes with caps. Caps eliminate spillage of contents and are handy for filling several syringes and storing them for later use.
Can I use your syringes for food applications?
Our syringes are perfect for tube feeding, enteral feeding, bolus feeding, and hand feeding. BASIK syringes are the preferred product for people on a blended diet. The materials used in our syringes are safe for food contact, making them an excellent choice for various kitchen applications.
Why does the syringe wrapping say 'Single Use Only' if BASIK syringes are reusable?
Except for our 60cc Luer Lock, all BASIK syringes are individually packaged and sterilized to prevent breakage and enhance product quality. Regulations require that a sterile product be labeled for single use so that people do not assume it maintains sterility after use and washing. BASIK syringes are designed and intended for reuse — simply wash thoroughly between uses.
What is the warranty on your syringes?
We stand behind the quality of our products. Each syringe comes with a warranty that covers manufacturing defects and breakage during shipping. We'll either replace the syringe if it arrives broken or issue a refund for the broken item.
